Discover Your Food Options on Amtrak!

Whether planning a short regional trip or a cross-country adventure, knowing your dining options on Amtrak can make your journey more enjoyable and less stressful. However, it’s worth noting that six trains do not have dining options or may offer non-traditional ones.

If you have an upcoming adventure, take a look at this post. It provides an overview of everything you need to know about eating on Amtrak, including information about dining cars, café options, and tips for bringing your food on board. If you need more detailed information, there are links to access it.

Learn how to make the most of your meals while traveling, including what to expect on different routes and classes of service.

Take a ride on the Windy City Express.

Are you interested in taking a nostalgic journey in restored rail cars? How about riding the Windy City Express?

The Friends of 261 are attaching two of their restored rail cars to two Amtrak trains, and they would love for you to join them in their Super Dome and lounge sleeper cars.

This unique experience starts on September 27 in Minneapolis, when these cars become part of the Borealis and head to Milwaukee and then Chicago. On September 29, they head North on the back of the Empire Builder out of Chicago, with a chance to board or deboard in Milwaukee before returning to Minneapolis. If you want to make a round trip, you are responsible for lodging in Chicago or Milwaukee. There are no other intermediate stops for these cars.

This trip is perfect for train enthusiasts and anyone interested in experiencing a piece of rail history, and I think it sounds like a blast!

Don’t miss your chance to ride! Learn more about this and other trips and book your seats here: Windy City Express.

I have no association with this train or group, but I wanted to share the info with you because it sounds like a great trip!

What Kev Has Been Up To!

I hope those in the USA had a good Labor Day weekend, and if you are outside of the US, I still hope you had a good weekend.

I spent a few hours with my dad at the Rock River Threseree. I went into more detail and took photos in Patreon, but overall, we had a good time. I wanted to see the tractors and equipment, and my dad was more interested in the flea market.

The important part of outings like this is spending time with each other, but when I go to a tractor show, I want to see tractors.

I am working on improving the Travels with Kev Facebook Page. I am starting to post more updates and changes related to Amtrak as I am able. If you are interested, you can like and Follow me.
